OPERATION HOMECOOKING
Welcome to the 737th Training Group's Operation Homecooking Web page.
Thanks to the generosity of Operation Homecooking participants like you, Air Force basic trainees and technical school students get the opportunity to spend Thanksgiving Day with caring families in our local communities.
2010 marked the 35th year families participated in Operation Homecooking as they continued to generously open their homes to trainees and servicemembers. Recognizing that many of them are away from home for the first time, local families invited more than 3,000 servicemembers to share in a traditional Thanksgiving Day feast. Approximately 3,000 will be eligible again in 2011. Come join us and be a part of this great Air Force holiday tradition.
Beginning Nov. 1, 2011, you can call the following telephone lines Monday thru Friday from 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. (CST), to sponsor a trainee: (210) 671-5453/5454/3701.
Also, visit the Air Force Basic Military Training Web site at www.basictraining.af.mil/ for more information on Air Force basic training.
