LACKLAND AIRFEST 2010 IS OVER
Join us in three years for AirFest 2013
More than 260,000 spectators saw the USAF Thunderbirds take to the skies over San Antonio for AirFest 2010, Nov. 6-7, here at Lackland Air Force Base, Texas. The U.S. Air Force's premier aerial demonstration team headlined several acts, including performances by the U.S. Army Golden Knights and the F-22 Raptor, U.S. Armed Forces ground displays, and much more.
The event was open to the public, and as always, there is free parking and free admission. No tickets required. Join us again in three years for AirFest 2013.

Join us in two years for AirFest 2012
Lackland Air Force Base and Joint Base San Antonio readied for AirFest 2010, which took place over the blue skies of San Antonio Nov. 6-7. The grand event was held at Lackland AFB on its historic flight line at the Kelly Field Annex.
AirFest is our way of thanking the American public for its support. And, as always, the event is open to the general public, with free parking and admission. Gates opened from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. with aerial demonstrations starting at approximately 10:30 a.m. Join us again in two years for AirFest 2012.
AirFest is a family event where parents can enjoy the beauty of airpower and where children can play, as well as participate in activities just for kids!
The spectacular USAF Thunderbirds aerial demonstration team, and the gravity-defying U.S. Army parachute Golden Knights, headlined two days of adrenaline pumping aerial antics, aircraft displays and more.
Other incredible aerial demonstrations included:
-- the F-22 Raptor, the 21st century fighter;
-- the U.S. Marine Corps AV-8B Harrier, a ground attacking, fighter and bomber aircraft, and
-- the F-16 Fighting Falcon, a high performance combat aircraft.
Also. static and ground displays allow visitors to come up close and look at today's U.S. military airpower. |

Visitors take Highway 90 East/West to either General Hudnell or General McMullen. These are the primary entry and exit points for public vehicle traffic during AirFest. Visitors can also park at Wolfe Stadium, located off Highway 90 and Callaghan. Round-the-clock transportation will be available from parking areas to Kelly Field and back during the event.

Security
Security is Lackland's No.1 priority. Visitors are prohibited from bringing concealed weapons, ice chests, backpacks, large bags, alcohol, skates, and skateboards. These items must be left in the vehicle. Pets, with the exception of assistance or guide dogs, will not be allowed at this event.
