More than 260,000 attend AirFest 2010
Join us in two years for AirFest 2012
 

Lackland Air Force Base and Joint Base San Antonio readied for AirFest 2010, which took place over the blue skies of San Antonio Nov. 6-7. The grand event was held at Lackland AFB on its historic flight line at the Kelly Field Annex. 

AirFest is our way of thanking the American public for its support.  And, as always, the event is open to the general public, with free parking and admission. Gates opened from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. with aerial demonstrations starting at approximately 10:30 a.m. Join us again in two years for AirFest 2012.

AirFest is a family event where parents can enjoy the beauty of airpower and where children can play, as well as participate in activities just for kids!

The spectacular USAF Thunderbirds aerial demonstration team, and the gravity-defying U.S. Army parachute Golden Knights, headlined two days of adrenaline pumping aerial antics, aircraft displays and more.

Other incredible aerial demonstrations included:
-- the F-22 Raptor, the 21st century fighter;
-- the U.S. Marine Corps AV-8B Harrier, a ground attacking, fighter and bomber aircraft, and
-- the F-16 Fighting Falcon, a high performance combat aircraft. 

Also. static and ground displays allow visitors to come up close and look at today's U.S. military airpower.

Celebrate CAM 2010, on Nov. 1-11, as San Antonio salutes our men and women in uniform with extraordinary events throughout the city, culminating with Veterans Day ceremonies. Scheduled Events
